What are these enclosed carriers I have seen?
One of the best ways to store and carry your cargo is in an enclosed cargo carrier that attaches to your hitch receiver. You can get these in either a tilt model or the model that completely swings away from the vehicle for easier access to the rear of the vehicle.
They rest on a modular tray, that by itself has a usable surface area of 21“ x 49” and both models are lockable.
How much can they carry?
Each of the enclosed models have a weight capacity of 250 lbs. and 13.5 cu. ft. of interior space so you can cram a lot in these babies. You will need a 2“ receiver to use these models.
